The Foundation Academy’s literacy program includes a variety of innovative and engaging activities/processes together with the Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing® (LIPS®), Visualizing & Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking® (V/V®) and Seeing Stars® programs to reach all students on various levels. Our curriculum includes: classic phonics, vocabulary, sight words, comprehension, basic math and whole language processes.

We offer individual and group remediation in reading, writing, spelling math and comprehension for students ages K-12.

Our highly knowledgeable teachers are dedicated to developing independent, thoughtful, life-long learners. Our literacy program focuses on:

Our programs are designed with specific goals in mind for student learning processes. Because of this, the instruction that students receive in the specific program times has set standards and materials.

The program times are specifically for those students with learning difficulties in reading, writing, and math concepts.

All of the students requested for tutoring are assessed and placed in homogeneous groups during their tutoring sessions. These sessions are at the same time everyday (unless otherwise suggested by the tutor or the teacher in certain circumstances). Literacy techniques are also used within the classroom during center activities.
