Enrollment for the 2024-25 school year is now open. We want to meet your family.

Policy of Open Admissions

The Foundation Academy warmly opens its doors for enrollment for the 2024-25 school year, inviting families to join its close-knit community. Guided by a family-oriented ethos, the Academy follows an open admission policy, embracing applicants of all backgrounds who can actively participate in the school's program and contribute positively to the communal spirit.

Prospective families of students (who must be at least five years old on or before Sep. 1st to enter kindergarten) are encouraged to reach out to the admissions office through email at outreach@foundationacademy.com or by calling 904-493-7300 Monday through Friday from 9 am to 3 pm.

The admission process, including a friendly interview, offers applicants and their families a chance to delve into the heart of the school's values. An integral part of enrollment involves spending a day as a visiting student, fostering connections between the school, the student, and their family. Enrollment remains open throughout the school year, subject to availability in the desired grade level. The Foundation Academy celebrates diversity, embodying an inclusive environment that transcends discrimination based on race, color, gender, or national/ethnic origin. The school's distinctive blend of Project Based Learning and Christ-centered support creates a unique family-like atmosphere. Students, some commuting from considerable distances, represent a diverse tapestry mirroring the wider community. Despite varied backgrounds, they share a common dedication to the school's educational goals.

The Foundation Academy looks forward to extending its familial embrace to new families, guiding them through the enrollment process, and weaving them into the fabric of its supportive educational community.

Scholarships We Accept

Florida School Choice Scholarships

House Bill 1, also known as the Florida School Choice Bill, is a new law that will benefit ALL K-12 students in Florida, taking effect on July 1st, 2023. Under the new law, ALL families with kindergarten through 12th grade children can apply to be awarded an average of $7,700 per student to help pay tuition for private schools, such as The Foundation Academy.

  • Important Key Points:

    • The recent changes have removed income restrictions from Florida School Choice scholarships. As a result, ALL children of Florida residents eligible to attend public school in grades K-12 are now eligible to receive a scholarship.
    • TFA will continue to accept School Choice scholarships through Step Up for Students.
    • Through Step Up for Students, TFA accepts the Florida Tax Credit (FTC), Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO), Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA) scholarships, as well as the HOPE Scholarship.
    • A waitlist will be dependent on the number of families who apply for each scholarship program. Step Up expects a high demand for the current scholarship programs, so we encourage you to apply as early as possible.
  • To apply for these scholarships, please follow these steps:

    • TFA Parents MUST apply for Florida School Choice scholarships on the Step Up for Students website. Applications for the 2023-24 school year are now open on the Step Up for Students website.
    • Parents of new students must complete the admissions process through our school’s website. Applications are completed online.

  • What does the scholarship cover?

The award amounts from these scholarships, while they vary, typically only cover part of our tuition, so there is a portion that you will be responsible for. Award money is applied to tuition first, then any remaining can go towards admissions fee, then testing.

  • Do I have to pay my part of tuition all at one time?

Scholarships do not typically cover our full tuition, leaving families responsible for a portion.

  • What is the admissions process for applying for my children?

All students applying to The Foundation Academy must go through our application process, which consists of application and gathering of academic records, enrollment documents, and a shadow day, then the family is notified of acceptance or denial. This means that there is no enrollment based simply on receiving a scholarship award letter.  APPLY NOW
